Detox Day 5

Its Day 5 of detox program. Things are going well for me. I hope they are going well for you. The weekend can be hard to stay focused on your diet. So please pay extra attention to your diet over the weekend and try not to get off track. Most of us by now should be feeling better, energy levels should improve, digestive symptoms should be gone (for the most part), you should also be sleeping better. You probably haven't noticed much weight loss yet and that is ok. Your won't notice much weight loss until about day 10-14. At that point you will start seeing more of the weight fall off. So hang in there and stay focused. Leave me a comment or a question. I would love to keep this blog more interactive for everybody.

Detox Challenge 2011: Day 2

Day 2 in my opinion is the toughest day to get through. You may start feeling a little weak, light headache, tired, aches and pains, but trust me all this will go away. Soon you will be feeling much better. Some of us are even having withdraw symptoms to sugar, coffee, caffiene, carbs etc.

Its amazing how you may still even feel hungry, even though you are eating plenty of food. This isn't a starvation diet and you shouldn't really feel hungry. Those are more emotional hunger pains than physical. Its the carby, processed foods that make us feel so full after our meal. So if we don't have that full feeling, we feel hungry. Eating veggies and meat won't give you that full feeling. You shouldn't have any digestive issues on this detox diet.

Day 2 will be your toughest day. Listen to your body and if you have to rest, than rest. If you need to go to sleep earlier than do that. Don't fight this. Hey I am getting ready to go to the gym and workout this morning. I can't wait. Post your thoughts

Detox Challenge 2011

Here we are again. Another year is upon us. Its Monday January 3, 2011. The Whole Body Healing Center has officially started this years Detox program. This is a place to leave questions and post comments during your detox journey.

This is a 28 day detox diet. The diet phase is a grain free/gluten free diet. What does this mean? It means no bread, pasta, rice or beans. No potatoes either. No sugar, no Alcohol and No COFFEE!!! I know, it already sounds tough, doesn't it? It really isn't that tough of a diet to follow. You won't be starving yourself. You will totally be satisfied throughout the entire program. Your breakfast will be eggs/veggies/turkey or chicken sausage. For lunch you will be doing chicken salads and for dinner steak and veggies. If you feel hungry, then eat more protein. You can snack on fruits and nuts. I recommend almonds, walnuts or pecans. You can also have snack bars. My favorites are Kind Fruit and Nut bars (not the Plus bars). You need to drink plenty of water and you may also have herbal tea's or regular unsweetened tea. For a sweetener, use stevia.

For the detox supplements, you will be taking 6 homeopathic detoxifers and 1 colon cleanse product. The detox supplements are the important part of detoxifying, but both nutrition and supplements work together for optimal results.
