Detox 2010

Happy New Year everybody. I am going to start a detox blog for January 2010. I have 2 different detox programs going at this time. Some of you are on a 28 day grain free detox diet and others are doing my more popular 21 day juicing detox program. I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment and lets us know which detox program you are doing. Also if you have time leave a comment on how you are doing. If you have any questions its a good time to ask as well. I will try to respond as quick as i can. Good Luck detoxing and we will talk soon.

My friend & I have started the 28 day grain free detox on Monday Jan 4th. So far I'm feeling great and have energy, however I do think that I may be eating too much.

Korina and I are doing the 28 day grain free together and having opposite reactions, even though it's just day 3. I have a headache and am extremely tired with no energy. I have a question though... can I have soy milk? I know it's made from soy beans and has a little sugar, but I don't consume any dairy products, including whey protein. I wanted to make soy protein shakes with soy milk, but don't want to mess up my diet/detox. Thanks!

Hey Korina, sounds like you are off to a great start. Its not how much you eat, its what you eat. As long as you are staying on the menu you can eat whatever you want. Brittany, hang in there girl. You will start feeling better. The first few days are tough on people due to all the withdraw symptoms we go through. After day 4 you should be rockin and rollin. The Hogans, awesome. You guys are doing wonderful. Thanks for posting. You guys have definitely made a major change to your lifestyle. I am proud of all you guys.

Day 5 and I'm not feeling as energized as I was before. I'm very tired and missed my work out last night. Maybe I'll go hide in the back office and take a small nap.

Korina, that is a quick turn around for you. That is not usual. Normal patterns should have you getting more energiezed each day after day 4. But it your body is wanting to rest, then you might need to listen. Make sure you are getting plenty of water and protein. Also make sure you are sleeping good. Keep going and hang in there.

Hi all, I'm feeling better today. I have more energy although it has been hard getting up in the morning due to the deep sleep I'm in. (I'm sure the freezing temperatures don't help). Hopefully I'll get some extra rest this weekend! Dr. Shawn... my other issues we talked about yesterday seem to be getting worlds better! Still lingering symptoms but not nearly as bad as yesterday! Thanks for your help!

I'm planning to start today when my products arrive so I'm looking forward to hearing from someone that is on the detox program also. I am so ready to feel better, have more energy, less pain in my joints. Thanks.

Hey Valene, keep us posted with your progress. Thanks for checking in.

Whoops, I wrote my first message on the wrong site. Here goes again....Today is day 2. Yesterday went pretty well. I believed the Mineral drink helped with the appetite. Anyway, I got through it fine. Most of today, I've had a headache, ached all over and was so tired....needed coffee and thought I wouldn't make it through the day very well. It's nearly 7:00 pm now, I made it, and I feel much better. Looking forward to tomorrow. I've taken off from school again tomorrow so I can follow the schedule better. Thanks for listening. valene

I am almost a week into grain-free, and have been feeling pretty great until today. Just a runny nose, bad breath, and varying energy levels throughout the day. Then today I had slight stomach and head aches. Is this still part of the detox process? I also feel like I've been eating a lot - mostly nuts, dried fruit, veggies, fish, sunflower seed butter, a little yogurt, and fruit/hemp protein/water smoothies. I figure I need to let my body get used to it and it will equalize when it's ready to.

Hey Betina, yes that is probably some detox symptoms you are dealing with. No yogurt. Try less dried fruit and more fresh fruit. Keep me posted. Love to hear from you.
